Advice: The general terms and conditions of the Macromedia GmbH, Akademie der Medien, are effective in addition to the terms of participation.
Participation:
Your registration is mandatory for participating in the event or session respectively. You are going to receive a registration confirmation and an invoice via e-mail or as postal item if requested. For the case that you order a ticket from the students` contingent an original enrolment confirmation is requested. (When registering at the site of the conference you have to possess an official enrolment certificate).
Our confirmation of your registration is your claim to attend unless payment is not settled in advance. A separate invitation will not be distributed.
Terms of Participation:
1. Right of Cancellation
Due to paragraph 13 embedded in the code of civil law, consumers preserve the right to revoke their contract declarations in written form two weeks after signing without any indication of reasons. To comply with these terms it is sufficient for the participant to mail the cancellation in time.

If a cancellation takes effect, received services have to be re-rendered equally. For the case it is not possible to return the rendered services, the participant is obliged to compensate for the damages caused.
2. Fees and Terms of Payment
The prices published on the event website www.planetary-collegium.org are mandatory.
The attendance fee is to be settled on reception of the invoice. Costs for delayed payment have to be settled by the participant. All prices listed are excluding the legal VAT of 19 %, which also concerns participants from abroad. (§3a, Value Added Tax Act).
3. Services
Your confirmed registration allows you to attend the conference in respect to the options chosen by you before. Beverages served in the breaks and a lunch buffet are included in the price, whereas potential travel costs as well as costs for board and lodging are not included.
4. Cancellation and Re-Booking
A service fee in height of 50, - Euro excluding VAT of 19 % has to be settled by the participant, for the case he has no substitute when prevented from attending for any reason. A written cancellation has to be mailed to Macromedia not later than four weeks before the event starts.
In the case of non-compliance the whole price for the seminar has to be settled by the participant.
The participant preserves the right to indicate an inferior damage to Macromedia. A substitute has to be determined in written form until the 16th of November 2009. When not attending the conference the participant has no claims regarding any financial compensation.
5. Accomplishment and Subject to Changes
Macromedia preserves the right to disarrange or to cancel the event on account of important reasons. In this case, already paid fees are returned.
Further claims, above all claims for damages (cancellation fees and costs for travelling and board and lodging) are not included. The program and frame program are as well subject to changes as the individual speakers.
6. Guarantee
Macromedia tries to transfer the correct content and recommendations to the participants. It will also do its utmost to care for proper installation and continuous standby concerning thorough operational readiness. At the same time this cannot be guaranteed.
Liability of any kind, above all in respect to incorrect contents and recommendations, technical breakdowns or any other inadequacies is excluded. This is also valid for services rendered by third parties to the participants.
7. Processing of Individual-Related Data and Further Conditions
The participant accepts the processing of his individual-related data, if serving the purpose of this contract. For the case a rule does not match valid right, that judicial rule takes effect that applies to the sense of this rule as close as possible. The city of Munich is legal venue.
The contract is subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany.
